Awareness Campaigns Mission Education
Mission Education is a national level program of Shivkrupa Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, an NGO for education which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. Swadeshi Movement Foundation, an NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights,there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.
SMILE TWIN E- LEARNING PROGRAMME (STeP)
The youth comprises over one-third of the Indian population which in turn constitutes a major part of the labour force of the country. The number of underprivileged youth in India who lacks education and proper guidance is so huge that according to the reports of the Financial Express only 15% of the young graduates passing out of colleges are employable; the rest are branded unemployable. It is not their lack of theoretical knowledge that causes this. Instead, it is the lack of right skills and attitude. In addition, the macro perspective affirms that, it is crucial for the energy of the underprivileged youth to be channelized properly with proper direction to aid economic growth and nation building to elude their addition to family woes, social stress and national misery. SMILE TWIN E- LEARNING PROGRAMME (STeP) is such an initiative of Swadeshi Movement Foundation which through its elearning education programme aims at creating a pool of young and independent people, from a section of underprivileged youth, through skill enhancement in tandem with market requirements. It is an effort towards bridging the gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower in the fast emerging services and retail sectors of modern India.
INFORMAL SCHOOL
SHIVKRUPA BAHUUDDESHIYA SANSTHA provides stimulating activities, organized games, day-care and schooling programmes for many migrant and low socioeconomic children within the Maharashtra community. In the morning the children engage in subjects of math, grammar, spelling all of which taught in English. In the afternoon the children do language classes in Hindi as well as participate in vocational training such as arts and crafts. This vocational training provides children with skills to make and sell various practical and artistic relics further creating extra income source for their impoverished families.
DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATION MATERIAL POOR STUDENTS
SHIVKRUPA BAHUUDDESHIYA SANSTHA’s has been providing educational material to these poor children who attend Government Schools. We provide educational material consisting of text books, notebooks geometry box, pencils, pens, and school uniforms, clothes, shoes, school bag, lunch box. We select the candidates by personal visits to their homes to assess the family background. We also take inputs from the school head masters to select the students who are doing well in studies. So far we have provided such support to about 170 students studying in classes from 5th to 10th standard. There is pressing need to help more poor and needy students for continuing their education You can donate for educational material for these deserving children, and thereby ensure that they do not drop out of school.
Abhyasika
Abhyasika is an initiative by Shivkrupa Bahuddeshiya Sanstha that promotes a platform to college students to provide a well-equipped study place for the further preparation of their studies. Students are provided with study chambers with charging, WiFi, and reading book facilities for subjects and competitive exams.
